The virtues of empathy and kindness have been firmly entrenched in the heart of each and every Shalomite. On May 3, 2021, our young students celebrated Labour Day, by expressing their heartfelt gratitude and thankfulness towards the doctors, nurses, pharmacists, front liners, essential service providers, teachers, farmers and policemen, who are fighting the odds to keep us safe inside the confines of our house. The beautifully composed poems, ‘Thank you’ cards, posters and sincere words of appreciation spoke volumes and were enough to capture their true feelings. It was truly overwhelming to see their response as they participated wholeheartedly and praised the grit and determination of each of these corona warriors who has displayed an unshakable faith and conviction that the world and humanity will finally emerge victorious. We salute you all!
