Earth Day 2016

Presidency celebrated The Earth Day with a myriad of educational and fun-filled activities.

Simple Machines

February 5th, 2016|

Students were escorted to the Science lab where they were shown a lever. By placing the fulcrum and moving it around they could understand the need for balance and hence, the fulcrum.

Force, Work and Energy

February 2nd, 2016|

Students were escorted to the field where they were asked to roll the ball on three different types of surfaces.

Adaptations – How Animals Survive

January 14th, 2016|

Students were asked to prepare a chart, groupwise, on classification of animals. They were told of the different categories of animals of vertebrates.

Students were asked to collect pictures of organisms that lay eggs. These pictures were collected by two groups.

Barter System

Students of Grade IV used their research skills to learn about the ‘Barter System’. They clearly understood how the trading was done in earlier times.

Physical Features of India

Students of Grade IV used their analytical skills to understand as to why and how the Northern Plains are called as ‘The food bowl of India’.

Significance of Humus

August 27th, 2015|

A ditch was prepared and dry grass was added into it. The ditch was covered with a layer of soft soil and left for about a week. Students were taken to the field to observe the ditch.

The Green Plants

Students of class IV learned that plants produce glucose as a result of photosynthesis that gets stored as starch in various parts of the plant.

Trip to Renewable Energy Park
