Shalom Presidency School, celebrated the 71st Republic Day on 24 January 2020 in the school greens. The patriotic fervour warmed up the winter morning as the students and staff gathered to celebrate the momentous occasion. The special assembly conducted by Grade IX commenced with the Lord’s Prayer and the Sanskrit Shloka. It was followed by the March Past and Mass Drill performed by the smartly clad students. The air reverberated with a melodious song “Hum Rahi Hain, Hum Saathi Hain” sung by the third graders. The vital message of fitness among youth was reiterated by the all-girls aerobics squad of the school. Last but not the least, the entire audience was treated to a spectacular dance performance by students of Grade VIII.

The highlight of the assembly was a heart touching and thought provoking “NukkhadNatak” performed by the supremely talented Shalomites on Fundamental Rights and Duties. Throwing light on the relevance of the day, the Principal, Ms. Aruna Singh, in her address, urged every student to work with utmost sincerity, honesty and dedication for the betterment of the nation. The assembly culminated with the school singing in unison the National Anthem and Shalom Anthem.
