Janmashtami is a grand festival celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The festival is is celebrated with great fervor in every part of the country with distinct flavor of that particular region.

At Shalom Presidency too children of Classes 1,2 & 3 displayed great enthusiasm by wearing ethnic clothes mainly becoming Radhas & Gopis. Children were told about the story of Krishna. They were able to relate the significance of the festival.
