The Vedic land of Haryana, ‘The Abode of God’ has been a cradle of Indian culture and civilization. The festive and joyous spirit of the state was celebrated through a week-long assembly from 2 – 6 November’20 with great fervour. The folk dances of the state, songs and children dressed in traditional Haryanvi attire were the flavour for the week. The students spoke about the history, culture, cuisine and growth of the agricultural state, which has grown by leaps and bounds since 1966, its year of inception. A documentary on the state of Haryana was shown to the students, to acquaint them with its rich heritage and significant milestones. The high octave performances of our effervescent performers reverberated the spirit of the state.
