“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” —Margaret Mead

Ascertaining the necessity of capacitating students discern their responsibility towards our Mother earth and our environment, Shalom Presidency School celebrated Earth Day on 24 April 2019 with great fanfare and dazzle. Students across all grades were meticulously involved in numerous activities that presupposed escalating awareness and consciousness about our environment. The students of grades 4, 6 & 7 were escorted to a nearby market where they spread awareness about ‘Rising levels of Pollution’ and ‘Swachha Bharat Mission’ through participating in an ‘Environment Protection Rally’, performing in a ‘Street Theatre’ and singing a ‘Sensitizing Song’. Their singular ambition was to make people recognize the compelling need to channel their attention to the care of environment.

By celebrating Earth Day on an elaborate scale, the teacher-student body at Shalom Presidency School illustrated its support for the defence of Mother Nature.
